Coral Restoration Foundation

Coral Restoration Foundation is nonprofit organization committed to creating restoration programs and offshore nurseries that aims at protecting threatened coral species. The organization uses leading restoration techniques to save the corals that are exposed to grave danger of becoming extinct.

With the help of volunteers, divers, scientists, community groups and public aquariums, the foundation has recorded a great success in saving corals and ensuring that the future generation will also be able to enjoy the many benefits awarded by this incredible ecosystem.

My interest in saving corals started a couple of years ago when I decided to visit The Great Barrier Reef in Australia. This was a memorable experience and while everything about it was incredibly amazing, the trip was also a little saddening for me. What really made me sad is to see that some parts of the Great Barrier Reef, the largest coral reef system in the world, were dying. We were able to see that some of the reef was bleached out completely while others were being dominated by algae.

I was really concerned about this which led me to start thinking of what I could do to contribute to saving corals to ensure that both the present and future generation benefits from them. This was how I decided to start Savingcorals.com to support the noble work that Coral Restoration Foundation was doing in protecting and saving corals and marine life.

One of the main goals of Coral Restoration Foundation is to educate the public about corals and ensure that they understand the need to protect and restore them.
